WSET首席執行官獲不列顛帝國勛章

英國葡萄酒與烈酒基金會首席執行官伊恩·哈里斯在2018新年期間被英女王授予不列顛帝國成員勛章。 Ian Harris, chief executive of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, has been awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list 2018.

2018年新年期間，英國葡萄酒與烈酒基金會（Wine & Spirit Education Trust，簡稱WSET）首席執行官伊恩·哈里斯（Ian Harris）因在葡萄酒和烈酒行業所做的傑出貢獻被英女王授予了不列顛帝國成員勛章（Member of the Order of the British Empire）。哈里斯表示，能獲得成員勛章是莫大的榮耀，教育是每一個行業成功的基礎，他很榮幸能領導一個教育機構，為培養未來的葡萄酒和烈酒行業專家儘自己的一份力。

不列顛帝國勛章（the Order of the British Empire）屬於英國騎士授勛制度，主要授予在藝術、科學等領域及公益服務方面作出傑出貢獻的人士。該勛章共分五個等級，從高到低分別為騎士大十字勛章（Knight/ Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire）、騎士指揮官勛章（Knight/ Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire）、司令勛章（Commander of the Order of the British Empire）、官員勛章（Officer of the Order of the British Empire）和成員勛章。

　　哈里斯與葡萄酒結緣於在波爾多（Bordeaux）工作的一年，之後的二十多年，他一直從事酒類行業的市場與銷售工作。2002年，深藏在心底的教育激情促使他加入了WSET，成為其首席執行官。在他任職的這十五年中，WSET年學員數量從10,000人躍增至85,000人，並於2015年獲得了英女王企業獎（Queen’s Award for Enterprise）。

　　如今，WSET培訓已覆蓋了超過70個國家，認證教育機構逾700個，為葡萄酒和烈酒愛好者及從業人員提供多語言（19種）、不同深度（4階段）的葡萄酒和烈酒課程，併為通過認證的學員提供9種資格證書。（文/Emma）
